General Leonard Wood Army Community Hospital

The project consisted of the remodel and expansion of the existing cooling plant, the addition of a new 500 ton chiller, relocation of three other chillers and reconditioning of the cooling tower, new 400HP boiler, condensate tank, deaerator, all new pumps, new piping and associated new electrical improvements.

The project also included the complete renovation of the existing HVAC systems for the 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th floors and penthouses. WMC installed sixteen (16) new mechanical rooms and removed several pieces of existing equipment located on multiple floors of the hospital in two separate wings. Our team established a work record of 30,000 man-hours without an OSHA recordable incident.

Poplar Bluff VA Hospital

This job was a great test to see what we could achieve in a challenging environment. The renovation took approximately 1 year from start to finish. The hospital was fully occupied while the work occurred and experienced minimal disruptions. WMC installed new domestic water lines, switched existing air handlers from direct blow to fan wall with full control automation. We also undertook a complete 3rd floor mechanical upgrade of the intensive care units.
